walking tours: IMPORTANT INFO

  • I do all the activities myself. No strange people, no employees, no misunderstandings, no bad vibe. Just me with all my responsability, punctuality and profesionalism as a licensed tour guide.

  • All the walking tours are PRIVATE (only for you or your partners; maximum 6 people). I do not mix travellers; I'm happy to do it only for you if you are only one person.

  • All the 3 walking tour options have a duration of 3.5h approx. You will have time to ask, take photos, rest if necessary... no rush at all.

  • The visit to some points of interest are subject to last minute modifications depending on demonstrations, police restrictions, strikes, national holidays, opening or closing times, or other reasons.

  • Some walking tours include a subway and/or public bus ride (tickets are included in the tour price).

  • Prices do not include taxi fees or other costs to reach the "Meeting Point" nor back to your accomodation.

  • Maps are only indicative. Itineraries may change according to my discretion and/or your interests.

  • Prices do not include snacks, drinks nor enter fees to museums/buildings during the walking tour.

  • TRANSFERS: I do not use private transfers. All our transfers are done in the same public services that Argentinians use, such as bus, subway, trains or ferry (depending on the tour).

  • AVAILABILITY: Walking tours available from Monday to Sunday. Starting time is flexible but I recommend 8.30AM or 3PM (depending on the tour; some points of interest could have a specific time to visit).

  • PAYMENTS: Walking tours payments will be received only in cash at the end of the activity. I accept USD, Euros, GBP, JPY.

  • BAD WEATHER: I do not cancel the walking tours because of light rain (in case of bad forecast or unexpected thunderstorms we will discuss it).

  • CANCELLATIONS: Because I do not ask for a deposit, you do not loose any money if you cancel; I just ask to let me know it as early as possible so I can organize my work agenda.

TANGO NIGHT: IMPORTANT INFO

  • Standard program:

    • You will meet Hidemi outside the ballroom at the agreed time (around 8PM).

    • You will participate in a 1h, basic level, group lesson. If your dancing level is more advanced, you can arrive directly when the milonga starts (9PM).

    • You will have a place booked in a table with Hidemi during the milonga (other people could join the same table, which is customary). You can dance or not, as you wish (many travelers are only going to see the characteristic and unique atmosphere of a Buenos Aires milonga.). It is important for us to know if your preference is to dance and what your dancing level is, so we can choose the right milonga for you.

    • Generally, the milonga times are 9PM to 3AM (many people go to other milonga afterwards). Our experience finishes at 11PM but travellers are free to leave earlier or stay longer if they want.

  • Remember: Hidemi is a qualified Japanese tango teacher living in BA since 2018. She also has her own milonga (El Firulete) in Hokkaido, Japan.

  • The price includes: entrance fee, group lesson, milonga and 1 (one) bottle per group of local wine or local champagne.

  • Transport fees to reach the ballroom nor back to your accomodation are not included in the price.

  • Keep in mind that every milonga has its own dress code (casual, formal, etc).

  • AVAILABILITY: This activity is available in certain days only; please ask us.

  • PAYMENTS: Payments will be received only in cash at the begining of the activity. We accept USD, Euros, GBP, JPY.

  • CANCELLATIONS: Because we do not ask for a deposit, you do not loose any money if you cancel; we just ask to let us know it as early as possible so we can organize our work agenda.

PORTEÑO LUNCH: IMPORTANT INFO

  • Standard program and menu:

    • We will meet at around 12PM at the Meeting point (depending on the option you choose: Av. de Mayo or Chacarita).

      • Av. de Mayo: we will go to the restaurant and afterwards we will walk 150m to the cafe.

      • Chacarita: we will eat in the pizzeria and then we will take a walk around the neighborhood.

  • MENU: as the lunch is not included in the price, you are free to choose whatever you want to eat.

    • A good lunch (portions in Buenos Aires are usually abundant, even to share) with first course, main course, dessert and drink cost around US$ 20 (it depends on the taste and appetite of the traveler, of course!). I prefer to give freedom to choose rather than to propose a "fixed" menu.

    • You will pay my bill too but don't worry! My lunches are light and we can even share dishes for 2 people.

  • Transport fees to reach the "Meeting point" nor back to your accomodation are not included in the price.

  • Tips for the waiters are voluntary in the restaurant (not mandatory) and are not included in my price. Since the establishments charge a "table service", I consider that the tip is left only in cases of service to big goups or extraordinary attention.

  • The restaurants and cafes we visit have a casual dress code.

  • AVAILABILITY: This activity is available Monday to Sunday.
